Columbus Food Adventures is pleased to announce the celebration of our 1st anniversary! During the past 12 months we’ve conducted over 200 tours, added two new itineraries, and organized some exciting private tours, progressive dinners, and special events.
The challenges of starting a new business are considerable, but we’ve enjoyed every moment of it. And, we’re gratified beyond words to note that our tour participants may just feel the same way. Thanks to their reviews, Columbus Food Adventures is the #1 rated tour attraction in the city on Trip Advisor, and can boast of a perfect 5 star rating on Yelp!
We love how many people included us as part of a special occasion or celebration and we’ve also been pleasantly surprised by the number of repeat customers we’ve had. In appreciation of their loyalty, we’d like to introduce a new way of saying ‘thank you’- the Columbus Food Adventures Passport. Starting in August, we’ll be handing out passport cards at the end of each tour, marked with a stamp to denote the participation in that tour. For every subsequent tour you partake of, you’ll get another stamp. Accumulate 4 distinct tour stamps on your Passport, and you’ll get the 5th tour free!
Sometimes when I talk about Columbus Food Adventures and say ‘we’, people wonder who else I’m referring to. Primarily ‘we’ includes Andy, my right hand man. Andy co-pilots most of the van based tours, designs our handouts, flyers, and other materials, writes and edits blog posts and is always there to discuss plans and bounce ideas around. I am completely indebted to him. ‘We’ also includes all of the other people who contribute so much to Columbus Food Adventures. I’d like to give special thanks to Debra O’Molesky who enthusiastically steps in to lead Short North tours, Mike Beaumont for his amazing video skills, Kristen Stevens and Kate Djupe for beautiful photos of our tours, and of course all of our wonderful restaurants partners, especially those who took a risk on us right at the beginning when we brought this new concept to Columbus. Thanks also to all the people who have advised, encouraged and supported us in the last year.
I would also like to thank all of the writers and bloggers who have written kind words about our tours over the last year. We’ve been gratified by the positive feedback we’ve received in print, online, and in reviews from our customers. We’ve had the privilege of introducing some national writers and editors to the Columbus food scene over the year and are grateful for the opportunity to promote our city.
