Saturday January 29th is the 2011 Columbus Young Professionals ‘A Date to Remember‘. As a sponsor of the event we have been given two VIP tickets to give away to our readers.

Last year A Date to Remember raised over $35,000 for charity and this year they are raising money for A Kid Again and Flying Horse Farms. Last year more than 700 people attended the event which was voted the best charity event in Central Ohio by Columbus C.E.O. Magazine.

This year’s event will be held at the LC Pavilion (405 Neil Avenue). Cocktail hour begins at 7:00pm (doors open at 6.30pm) with appetizers and desserts donated by local restaurants (Barrio, Bob Evans Restaurants, Due Amici, Hubbard Grille, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, J. Liu Restaurant & Bar, Mezzo Italian Kitchen, and Taste of Belgium) and a beer sampling booth. Attire is cocktail or dressy/casual (no jeans).

The date auction and fashion show begins at 8:00pm. Eight bachelors, eight bachelorettes, and four couples/friends will model some of the city’s best fashions as you have the opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind packages (including two Columbus Food Adventures tours) which our date participants will be showcasing. All of the proceeds of the event go to the two charities.

If you would like to enter to win our two free VIP tickets to the event please leave a comment telling us about a memorable date that you had – you don’t need to give ALL of the details, just something about why it was memorable or where you went.

A winner will be chosen at random. Entries close Saturday January 22nd at noon.

If you would like to buy tickets to the event they are available on the CYP website. They are $25 if you buy them before 1/21 and are $35 at the door.
