The craft beer scene has exploded in Columbus and we will guide you through some highlights of one of the best craft communities in the Midwest.
Our Downtown Tour mixes some well established and acclaimed breweries in town with some of newer craft brewers. This tour spans the area stretching from the historic Brewery District to the vibrant Short North neighborhood with stops in between at breweries in the heart of the city center.
We visit four craft destinations. Your tour starts at Rockmill Tavern for a guided tasting and small snack from their top ten kitchen. Then we visit Endeavor Brewing to learn about ingredients and process paired with four signature beers. At North High Brewing you will get a nice dose of Dad jokes and inside stories between pours. We wrap up at Barley’s Brewing Company to learn about barrel aging, beer engines and cask conditioning while we drink some classic recipes from their origin in 1992 as well as the latest creations. Due to a special event or scheduling challenge, we may switch out one of the sites for Parsons North Brewing, Gemut Biergarten, Sideswipe Brewing or another new brewer on the block.
Learn about how beer is made, taste a variety of styles at each destination and discover more about the backstory of each brewery. You’ll hear the stories behind each business and have a chance to meet a wide range of owners, brewers and craft beer experts. This tour is designed to be a fun, educational and delicious introduction to Columbus’ growing local beer scene.
This brewery tour is priced at $62.00. It includes tastings at 4 locations, a light snack at the first stop, air-conditioned van transportation between all of the stops and a guide with plenty of local craft beer knowledge. It lasts approximately 3.75 to 4 hours.
