German Village has been continuously inhabited and continuously eating since the 1840s. Brick sidewalks, gas lamps, restaurants and bakeries that have served the neighborhood for generations. This walking tour weaves five tastings together with the history that ties the village together.

Stops include

Katzinger's (featured on Food Network's "The Best Thing I Ever Ate"), Schmidt's (featured on "Man vs Food"), and Barcelona, where the tour finishes with paella and sangria.

Before You Book

Where exactly do we meet?
German Village. The exact address is included in your booking confirmation and reminder emails. Meeting points are always indoors or covered.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Vegetarians can be accommodated with advance notice. We are not able to accommodate vegan or celiac guests on this tour. For specific food allergies, please contact us directly so we can coordinate with each restaurant.
What's the minimum group size? Will my tour be cancelled?
Tours require a minimum enrollment of 4 guests. If a tour doesn't meet the minimum, we'll either reschedule you on another date or issue a full refund gift card. We'll always reach out before cancelling.
What if it rains?
Tours run rain or shine. We only cancel for severe weather that threatens guest safety, which is rare. Dress for the day and we'll handle the rest.
Are children or strollers allowed?
Children are welcome on most tours, though young children should be assessed individually given the pace and length. Strollers aren't practical given space constraints inside the shops and restaurants. Service dogs are permitted; pets are not.
Can I book a private version of this tour for my group?
