The Hills Market Downtown

March 19th, 2013    •  by Bethia    •   No Comments »

The Hills Market Downtown – Grand Opening! About a month ago, during a Dessert Tour, I was talking with Pistacia Vera‘s co-owner Spencer Budros when he veered off into a passionate soliloquy on the buzz he senses in the city – he noted the throngs of people out and about downtown, the constant construction, the new announcements and openings made practically everyday, and a widely shared upbeat demeanor about the future. Taste the Future 2011: Ticket Giveaway!

September 1st, 2011    •  by Bethia    •   45 Comments »

Columbus has many wonderful food events, but the annual Taste the Future at Columbus State Community College is one that I have particular affection for.  2011 marks the 23rd anniversary of this event, and with over 50 of central Ohio’s premier chefs showing off their talents this year it looks to be another great one! Tressel’s gone, and – coincidence, I’m sure – pizza’s really starting to get interesting around here. Within the span of two weeks, a pair of defiant nonconformists have come onto the scene – Harvest Pizzeria and Element Pizza – and they’re making a strong case for […]
